Dear Students:
Go Silent for the Silenced! Click on the link to see how EBUS administration, staff and teachers are participating in the Vow of Silence for Free the Children.
EBUS Academy is registered to participate in the Vow of Silence scheduled on November 30, 2011. Students are encouraged to participate in this exciting event with teachers, staff and administration. How? You can participate by going silent for one hour on November 30, 2011. Silence in this case is defined as:
- no talking OR
- no texting OR
- no email OR
- all three
Interested student participants can also support the campaign through fundraising (not a necessity). Pledges will be collected through a website provided by Free the Children. Here is the link: http://my.e2rm.com/TeamPage.aspx?teamID=265521&langPref=en-CA. Once you register to fundraise, you can then share the URL link with family, friends and others to make it easy for them to give support. It's also a central place where everyone can learn more about the campaign and our group can see the progress. Please note: you are not required to fundraise to participate in the Vow of Silence.
If you do not want to fundraise, but want to help raise awareness by going silent, please send an email to vowofsilence@ebus.sd91.bc.ca In your email, let us know how long you plan to be silent or visit the signup sheet in FirstClass 'Vow of Silence Signup' sheet. If there are other family members who want to participate, record their names in your email too!
Sincerely,
EBUS Administration, Staff and Teachers
