EXPECTATIONS AS AN ADULT STUDENT

Communication as an online learner is more important than ever. As an adult student, we expect you to:

• Contact your academic advisor and course teachers on a regular basis to let them know where you’re at in your school work, any problems that you’re having, just to say “Hello”, etc.
• Contact your academic advisor about any course additions or withdrawals. You should speak with concerns about a particular course with your course teacher, but no course changes can be made without consultation with your academic advisor.
• Contact your academic advisor if you have a change of address, phone number, personal email address, etc.
• Send work in to your teachers as soon as you complete an assignment (unless your teacher tells you otherwise)
• Reply in a timely manner to teacher emails and phone calls
• Let your academic advisor and course teachers know what the best time of day is to reach you at home.
